Arrival, Parking & Your Stay

Is free parking available at the hotel?

Yes. Free parking is available directly at the hotel for our guests.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 3:00 pm and check-out is until 11:00 am.

Can I safely store my bicycle or e-bike at the hotel?

Yes. We provide bicycle storage facilities as well as charging facilities for e-bikes.

Rooms & Accommodation

Are dogs allowed at the Waldhotel Rheingau?

Yes. Well-behaved dogs that are accustomed to staying in hotels are welcome in selected room categories. As not all rooms are suitable for guests travelling with a dog, please let us know when making your reservation if you are bringing one.

We charge €20.00 per dog, per night.

Are rooms with balconies available?

Yes. Rooms with balconies are available in selected room categories. Please check the details of your chosen room category for the exact facilities.

Are air-conditioned rooms available?

Yes. Our Auslese room category is equipped with air conditioning. Further information about room facilities can be found in the description of each room category.

Wellness, Swimming Pool & Sauna

What facilities does the wellness area offer and is access included for hotel guests?

Our wellness area features a 12 × 6 metre indoor swimming pool with a water temperature of approximately 27 °C, a sauna area, a saltwater steam bath (Sole Caldarium), our panoramic garden sauna and a relaxation room.

Access to the wellness area is already included in selected hotel packages. For regular room bookings – with or without breakfast – access is not included in the room rate and costs €19.50 per person, per day.

Restaurant & Breakfast

Does the Waldhotel Rheingau have a restaurant?

Yes. Our restaurant is exclusively available to hotel guests. We serve regional and traditional dishes accompanied by a selection of wines from the Rheingau region. At weekends, we offer our guests a 3-course dinner menu.

Can I have dinner at the hotel?

Yes. Hotel guests are welcome to dine in our restaurant. Advance reservation is required. At weekends, we offer a 3-course dinner menu.

Please reserve your table in advance.

Is the restaurant open on Sundays?

Sunday is our weekly rest day. After breakfast, the restaurant remains closed for the rest of the day.

The Rheingau & Surrounding Area

How far are Geisenheim, Rüdesheim and Eltville from the Waldhotel Rheingau?

Our hotel is located in Marienthal, a district of Geisenheim, right in the heart of the Rheingau region. Geisenheim town centre is only a few minutes away by car.

Rüdesheim am Rhein is approximately 6 km from the hotel and can be reached by car in around 10 minutes. The wine and rose town of Eltville am Rhein is also within easy reach.

Thanks to our central location in the Rheingau, the Waldhotel is an ideal base for exploring the Rhine Valley, the surrounding vineyards and the region’s historic wine towns.

What can I do and see near the Waldhotel Rheingau?

The Rheingau offers a wide variety of activities and attractions. Many of the region’s best-known destinations can be reached easily from our hotel.

Popular places to visit include Rüdesheim am Rhein and its famous Drosselgasse, the Niederwald Monument, Schloss Johannisberg, the historic Eberbach Abbey, and Eltville am Rhein with its picturesque old town and Electoral Castle.

The area is also ideal for hiking and cycling. Numerous trails lead through the surrounding vineyards and forests, while the Rheinsteig hiking trail offers an excellent way to discover the Rheingau on foot. Wine lovers will also find numerous wineries and traditional seasonal wine taverns throughout the region.

Our reception team will be happy to provide further recommendations for excursions and activities during your stay.

Conferences, Meetings & Groups

Can I organise a conference or seminar with overnight accommodation at the Waldhotel Rheingau?

Yes. As a conference hotel in the Rheingau, we offer seven seminar and conference rooms as well as overnight accommodation directly at the hotel.

How many people can the conference rooms accommodate?

Our seven seminar and conference rooms range in size from 30 to 160 m² and are suitable for events of up to 80 people, depending on the room and seating arrangement.

What conference equipment is available?

Our conference rooms are equipped with modern presentation and meeting technology, including projectors, flip charts, pinboards and PA systems. Video conferencing equipment is also available.
